Today our ever changing environment has put an increasing amount of strain on our health. This has increased our stress levels which has resulted in us having very poor diets. Food additives, processed foods and nutritionally dead fast foods are creating a crisis in the health industry within this country like no other time in our history.
The medical community at large is fast at work trying to treat the symptoms of our nations health problems, but unless we take action and start treating the cause of our problems not just the symptoms we are going to bankrupt ourselves. We will also run the system dry due to skyrocketing cost of medical care, which doesn't even speak to the needless pain and suffering we experience due to poor health in this country.
One of the main reasons for many of the health problems that we face is that we are not getting enough sufficient nutritional value from foods that we normally eat. However, if we do not give the cells within our bodies the "fuel" (called antioxidants) needed to overcome the "free radicals" running rampant within our bodies, our health will continue to decrease over time.
Regardless of the constant reminders to eat several servings of fruit and vegetables per-day, less than twenty percent of the population consumes even a fraction of the required servings of fruit and vegetables prescribed.
*As someone once told me, "If we don't change our attitude about the way we think about food, then we won't change the effect that food has on us."
